This comes as thousands of "refugees" and migrants routinely flee war-torn Libya for refuge in Southern Italy. Additionally, there is great fear among Europeans that ISIS militants might travel among these migrants in an effort to infiltrate and conduct terror attacks against Italy.

Hillary Clinton is widely given credit for supporting this regime change which has now led to challenges not only for Libya but for the world. ISIS has found a new base for operations against Europe and a new government has been unable to take shape. This article looks at how choices, especially those that seem appropriate at the time, may turn out to be disastrous.

As was mentioned in my bookmarks last week, fighting in some parts of Libya between ISIS militants and militia groups is an ongoing struggle. This article puts a human side to those who become trapped in places that ISIS attempts to overrun. Thankfully, one of these militia groups was able to push ISIS out of this city, allowing for a heartbreaking look at the fear of those that were for a brief moment, trapped in ISIS territory.

Somewhat off my normal topic, I found this article fascinating. This photographer, when the war in Libya broke out, decided to go and document the war with nothing more than his iPhone. Even after being hit by a mortar attack, he still went on documenting for his new book, the war torn and sometimes never shown images from the Libyan war.

Not only is he seeming to lead the fight against ISIS but is also making the rounds in Washington to discuss the ongoing situation in Libya and has taken an active stance on some regional issues as well.

One thing I'm starting to get from the various bookmarks I'm posting is that the world seems to be very afraid of doing anything in Libya. After the Benghazi attack that killed our ambassador, the world has largely ignored what's been occurring in Libya. There's been essentially no government, regional neighbors are afraid of ISIS, the world doesn't want to get involved and now we're up to more of a mess than we started with.
