This article was posted from August 2015, but a shocking story I came across while looking at recent Middle East events. Israel's Minister of Culture and Sports and Israel's Prime Minister suppot force-feeding as a torture tactic against Palestinian inmates.

This article was mind blowing for me. It is a report of the treatment of King Abdullah's daughters. It makes me wonder where they are now. I will try to do further research. It all started with a forced marriage and led to the ongoing torture of 4 daughters.

Syria's armed conflict escalated even further in 2013 as the government continues and intensified its attacks against civilians and began using increasingly deadly and indiscriminate weapons including chemical weaponry. The United Nations says the Islamic State group is systematically killing, torturing and raping children and families of minority groups in Iraq, and it is calling on government forces there to do more to protect them.

This article was written during International Women's day and hightlights what women face under repressive regime. "At the hands of the coup regime in Egypt, women suffer horrific crimes including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrest, violent rape, displacement, severe torture (often leading to permanent disability), sham military trials, unjust death sentences, enforced disappearances, brutal degrading treatment of political prisoners' wives and daughters while visiting relatives in the military junta's detention centers."

Several political parties and journalists have began hunger strikes in protest of prisoners locked up under the draconian anti-protest law enacted after Morsi was deposed by the military. The law has drawn international criticism and the post Morsi period saw violent crackdowns, torture, and executions that some say rival the darkest days of the Mubarak presidency.

Rumors are beginning to stir among anti-ISIS groups that the terror group is beginning to experience unrest and a stir in the ranks. Dutch ISIS members were said to be slaughtered by local ISIS command in Iraq. The story is said to be untrue but the question remains as to why did this story surface in the fist place.
