Eighty-eight years have passed since the founding of the Muslim Brotherhood on March 22, 1928 at the hands of Imam Hassan Al-Banna. They expand on the importance of a religiously led government in the region and importance of keeping their mission in mind and reforming to democratic legitimacy they say.
In an opinion piece for Saudi daily Al-Jazirah, translated in English by the Saudi Gazette, columnist Ruqaya Al-Huwairni wrote: "I cannot describe how embarrassed and annoyed I was after listening to a fatwa issued by a local mosque imam."
Al-Huwairni added: "To be frank, I do not know why women are looked down upon more than men.
