Learning that incorporates student choice provides a pathway for students to fully, genuinely invest themselves in quality work that matters. When students participate in learning design this allows students to make sense of content on their own terms. There are times when students are able to research their interests and independently projects. Student voice, student choice is very important in classrooms. 1- How hard is it to have student voice, student choice in a classroom? 2- How do you accommodate to all of the different student voices and choices? 3- How can we have student voice, student choice in classes that have to follow strict standards?

This article looks at two different structures in place at different school systems to investigate and introduce new technology into the classroom. In the first example, the school district has invested in a full time administrator whose job it is to find new technologies and uses in the classroom and then provide the information to the teachers. The second case study involves a more traditional approach where the classroom teacher collaborated with other teachers and developed an program in Kindergarten through 3rd grade to introduce the children into inquiry into technology by dismantling robots and other forms of technology, solely to awaken a sense of discovery within the students.

This journal covers Tessellations in the classrooms and how they can be done by pretty much any student. In the classroom, they can be used for a variety of technology educational activities, such as graphic arts like screen printing and 3D printing. These techniques can be used in practical and artistic ways with basic geometry and symmetry skills. According to their research, these tessellation activities can be successful and challenging for most students. Wiki's are a great tool for students to come together to edit and create a document. The website includes popular, FREE wiki platforms for teachers to use, includes resources for further reading and gives examples on how to use Wiki's in the classroom. This website is a great resource in general for including technological resources in a Language Arts classroom, which can be difficult to do, especially when teaching writing and literature. http://tewt.org

This article discuses how mobile devices such as tablets are very affordable for schools, and provide a lot of different apps that can be used for classroom application. The study discussed how students can relate to what they are learning because of the practice they can do on the tablets to make a better connection. Page 12 shows some of the students thoughts towards using tablets in class; including, "We live in the technology age so using technology is important to help develop proficiency."

Philip Cotton was one of the first teacher in the UK to use 3D printing in the classroom. He talks about its uses in the classroom and the necessity for students to learn the technology now so that they are prepared for future careers that haven't even been invented yet.
