Franki Sibberson is a great person to follow for literacy ideas.  Her blog "A Year of Reading" has lots to consider! Not all presentations are easy to follow, but this one is very enlightening.

I found this website that has multiple activities with fractions.  It includes the materials needed for the activities and instructions.  It lists extensions and assessment ideas.  It also has a listing of books about fractions.  It even contains links to other websites where students can play fraction games.  (And I only had trouble accessing one of the links.) if you need to bookmark a site and want to have a copy of your bookmarked sites accessible from any computer- it's free and very easy to use.  LiveBinders is like having a 3-ring binder for the Web- collect your resources, organize them easily, present them to your students/colleagues.  Your students can access them from the laptops simply by going to the site and searching for your public binder by name, or by logging in with your information.  You can make your binders private or public.  There are hundreds already made that you may be able to use in your classroom (someone else has already done the work for you) - if it is public you can make a copy of it and save the binder in your account!

This looks like a great blog about middle school books and reading.  It links to many other blogs and suggestions.

You'll notice the pages of this wiki (on the left hand side) are the Common Core Standards. We have attempted to align iPad apps with each standard.
