"Mathigon provides a series of free, interactive, online courses that are designed to complement 6th grade through college level mathematics instruction. The website was founded by Philipp Legner, who studied mathematics at the University of Cambridge and mathematics education at the London School of Economics. Legner, who currently works at Google, wanted to design a website that enabled learners to examine mathematics concepts by actively engaging in problem solving. Each course explains key concepts and skills through a series of short explanations, helpful visualizations, problem sets, and quizzes. Learners receive feedback as they work their way through each course. Visitors to this website can find courses by browsing through the course library, which sorts available courses by grade level (6-9; 10-12; College, Fun and More) and by topic (Geometry; Functions and Equations; Probability and Statistics; Calculus and Mechanics; Applied Mathematics, etc.)."

Great Websites for Kids (GWS) , the Association for Library Service to Children's (ALSC) online website directory, has been completely redesigned. The updated site boasts a fresh and colorful kid-friendly look and interactive social media enhancements. Clear, bright icons display subject categories and appear on every page, while eye-catching thumbnail images provide a visual preview of each great site represented. Special sections highlight Sites of the Week and Month, Most Popular pages and Top Rated selections. Prompts for each site offer "more selections like this." Visitors can actively connect with the site and further their online experience by rating sites; sharing their favorites on social media sites such as Facebook; and emailing recommendations to friends.

I found this website that has multiple activities with fractions.  It includes the materials needed for the activities and instructions.  It lists extensions and assessment ideas.  It also has a listing of books about fractions.  It even contains links to other websites where students can play fraction games.  (And I only had trouble accessing one of the links.) Every year AASL selects the best websites for learning.  ("Winners" do not repeat.) These are for 2011, recently announced.

This is a great listing of quality science websites. Although it says elementary, many of these would interest older students as well.

Katie' Powell's website. This particular page deals with "error analysis" after a test. There are many other things to explore on her website. She teaches in Crawfordsville

Interesting list of ways to evaluate a website

Great website that is very specific about content of various things, yet also gives helpful tips in many areas for educators, students, and families.

Kathy Schrock has an extensive guide to the best websites.  This particular page summarizes the sites she has recommended in the past. (It started more as daily, and is more like weekly now.) Her entire site is very organized, and has something for every discipline.

Wonderful classroom website. What a great way to involve all stakeholders: staff, students and parents. Beth Newingham and Holly Gordon share a third grade classroom in Troy, Michigan.
