Adding clay centers to hair bows is a great way to personalize your hair clip designs. When working with polymer clay use a clean surface like a cutting board, glass table, or the shiny side of a white poster board. Polymer clay is available through many different manufactures; I am using Sculpey Clay to make butterfly hair bow centerpieces.

I wanted to make my daughter some special hair bows for school. I started by lining two snap clips with 3/8" grosgrain ribbon.

Choose a favorite outfit and make gorgeous bows to match it perfectly! Find the ribbon, tulle, ric rac, and star garland that match just right and start the fun. This boutique style bow was inspired by a navy, light blue, red, and white star spangled dress.
