This is a great site for free animated gifs. These can enhance a visual presentation, and add interest for students. One problem with gifs is that they can be gimmicky, and sometimes poor quality. The site is well divided into many helpful categories, and subcategories which makes it simple to navigate. There are limited gifs for each category which may make it hard for teachers to find exactly what they are looking for. Even though this site may not have the largest selection of gifs, it is important for educators to have a plethora of resources.

Groove Shark is a free song streaming application. Independent artists, record labels, and users upload music to the community for everyone to enjoy. There are many categories that are exclusively for the classroom environment including listening activities for Spanish and History classrooms. A major issue with the website is that some of the music may not be appropriate for the classroom setting, and teachers must be very careful in screening and selecting listening selections. When using this music the user must cite the song and artist.
