This is a royalty free site. This site has 43 members and receives approximately 3.5 million annually in contracts and membership fees. This statewide digital library is used by anyone with access to the Internet and an interest in the materials. The LOUISiana Digital Library (LDL) is an online library containing photographs, maps, manuscript materials, books, oral histories, and more that document history and culture. There are many institutions that contribute to this site. Currently there are 22 participating libraries, archives, museums, and historical centers participating in the LDL. The Louisiana Library Network provides technological support for the institutions who participate. LOUIS combines the resources of Louisiana's public and private academic libraries, along with a centralized support staff located on the LSU campus, to produce a dynamic library consortium.
