This web site, called Free Music Archive.org (FMA), offers up-to-date downloads of high-quality music for free. It is the result of a culmination of radio stations and other curators to allow the download of free music for certain purposes that might otherwise be denied by copyright law. However, these downloads are only given the green light for certain types of pre-specified uses as given by the owners of that copyright. These stakeholders have determined the advantages for allowing their music to be utilized for some aspects of public domain. All the artists are given full credit for their music and links to buy the full album if the listeners so want. All sorts of other information are provided about the artist and even a link to make a donation to the artist through Pay Pal. The web site takes donations through this avenue as well. The web surfer can find the music through the curators tab and the music they sponsor or by the genre tab. Free music from this website has a plethora () of uses in any classroom. The songs could be used as the soundtracks for digital stories or PowerPoints. It could also simply be used to enhance lessons with music. For example, Halloween music could be paired with a Halloween read aloud.
