  According to the article their are two different sets of morals. One which relies mainly on reason, which would be considered the liberal side, and one that relies mainly on emotions, which would be considered the democratic. I understand the point of the article and agree that democrats should better look at ways to make their party more appealing to others, but at the same time I don't believe they should change their party. As the end of the article says Americans are being sold on a false hope when they vote republican. I also agree that traditions and purity are important but I don't believe they are more important than progressive change
