Connecting Middle Schoolers with Libraries

This is a project I was going to try to undertake this year. This site contains short video book trailers for K-12. I just saw the one for Chasing the Falconers by Gordon Korman. It made me want to pick up the book. My idea is to have a station in the library where students can watch such videos (and we can start to make our own too!) and maybe even incorporate them into the catalog.

Here's a possible tool for helping to facilitate and extend book discussions. I just watched the introductory video, but it is a neat idea.

This assessment tool is free and is designed to measure impace of technology integration or if technology is being integrated. I'm wondering about its usefulness as an assessment tool for informationliteracy related tasks.
