Educational Applications of CMCS: Solving Case Studies through Asynchronous Learning Networks

Center for Distributed Learning The Center for Distributed Learning is part of the Division of Information Technologies & Resources, and serves as the Virtual Campus for the University. The Center brings focus to University efforts in distributed learning by providing administrative support for online credit courses, degree programs, and activities offered by the University. Distributed Learning at UCF includes instructional delivery technologies such as interactive television and Web-based instruction that provide services to nontraditional, distant, and campus-based students. UCF now offers over two dozen totally Web-based degree, degree-completion, and certificate programs.

Information Technologies and Resources (IT&R) provides comprehensive planning and support for UCF's information and communications resources. The division is headed by Dr. Joel Hartman, vice provost and CIO, Millican Hall, Room 338, Telephone (407) 823-6778.

The 2002-2007 UCF Strategic Plan: Pathways to Prominence offers a framework for the University of Central Florida to realize its vision to be the "nation's leading metropolitan research university recognized for its intellectual, cultural, technological, and professional contributions and renowned for its outstanding programs and partnerships."
