The Health Benefits of Yogurt - 0 views

  •
The Health Benefits of Yogurt One of the most commonly eaten snacks is also one of the healthiest foods available, if you pick the right one. Yogurt's nutritional content includes vitamin B12, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), zinc, potassium, protein and molybdenum. Because of these ingredients, yogurt has numerous health benefits, including providing protection against ulcers, reducing the risk of colorectal cancer and regulating cholesterol levels. That's not all; yogurt contains healthy bacteria which have been proven to boost immune system response and promote digestive regularity. Choosing the best yogurt for you The easiest rule of thumb to follow when choosing a yogurt that will provide the most health benefits is to look for the least processed types, with no added flavors or sugars. Greek yogurt is a great option. It is typically plain and available in a low-fat version. A great way to eat it is to add fresh fruit, honey and nuts. This simple dish makes an excellent afternoon snack or a delicious way to start the day. You can also incorporate non-sweetened yogurt into savory dishes. Use plain yogurt as a baked potato topping instead of sour cream or use it to make a tangy marinade for salmon by combining it with fresh dill. Many yogurts on the market today have more added sugars then some desserts! Artificially-sweetened options, although lower in calories, are no better. Our bodies do better with natural foods that we are able to digest without straining the liver, gallbladder, and digestive system. Stay away from dessert-style yogurts and sweeten plain yogurt with honey, natural fruit and granola instead.

  •
The Fountain of Youth: Age-Defying Tips and Tricks We've all heard the phrase 'The Fountain of Youth', but the origin behind it may be less well known. Legend has it that particular fountain has the ability to provide eternal youth for those that drink of its waters. Tales of healing waterscan be found in numerous cultures: Herodotus attributed the longevity of the Ethiopians to a fountain containing special water, while in Middle-Eastern stories, a sage travels through the land of darkness to a restorative spring. In modern times, the legend of the fountain has not lost its appeal - in Florida, the city of St. Augustine is home to The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. Visitors and tourists still flock to this spot to drink the fountains waters. One fact remains - the fountain symbolizes anything that increases longevity or

How Detoxing Helps the Appearance of Cellulite - 0 views

How Detoxing Helps the Appearance of Cellulite Few women can take comfort in the fact thatcellulite affects an estimated 90 percent of all females- they would rather it not be a concern at all! However, they are not alone in their plight for smooth skin- about 10 percent of men have cellulite, too. Although men and women typically suffer from different 'trouble zones' due to differentiation in fat deposits, hormones and skin thickness - women tend to yearn for smooth thighs, while men who suffer from it tend to have it appear on their necks or abdomens- reducing its appearance is a universal goal!

Fertility Woes For Obese Couples - 0 views

  •
Fertility Woes For Obese Couples The journal Human Reproduction reports that if both partners in a couple are overweight, they will have to wait considerably longer before successfully conceiving a child. The findings, based on a Danish study of nearly 50,000 couples, show that if both partners were obese the chances of the couple having to wait for more than a year before the woman became pregnant were nearly three times higher than for a normal weight couple. If both partners were only overweight, the likelihood they would have to wait longer than a year was 1.4 times higher.

Asleep On The Job - Sexsomnia - 0 views

  •
Asleep On The Job - Sexsomnia The vast majority of us go to bed every night, fall asleep and stay there until we wake up, either in the morning or when we have to go pee. We may toss and turn and mumble nonsense like "those damned elephants," but for the most part we stay in the bed we fell asleep in. But a subset of humanity has a physically active nocturnal life. They regularly get up, make sandwiches, watch TV and go for drives, all while fast asleep. They're referred to as parasomniacs or somnambulists by the experts. Sleep-walkers by everyone else.

Are Some Beauty 'Tricks' Bad for Health? - 0 views

  •
Are Some Beauty 'Tricks' Bad for Health? You've probably heard of some of the 'tricks' beauty pageant queens pull before a performance - such as dabbing hemorrhoid ointment under their eyes to reduce puffiness, or using plastic wrap around their thighs to induce sweating to help shed excess water weight. While it's debatable whether these methods even work (let alone if they're safe), women and men alike are often apt to trying potentially dangerous ways to feel better about their appearance. Some even go as far as to try off-label prescriptions to enhance their looks, such as the recent trend in using glaucoma medicine to attain thicker eyelashes. With potential side effects including inflamed red eyes and cornea damage, these are not quite symptoms to bat an eyelash at (no pun intended).

Obesity derails sexual quality of life - 1 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com/sexual-health.html Obesity derails sexual quality of life by George Atkinson Changes in hormone levels and diminished sexual quality of life among obese men are related to the degree of obesity, and both are improved dramatically after gastric bypass surgery, says a new study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. "Previous studies have found that obesity is correlated to lower sperm count and can be associated with infertility, but we wanted to know if obesity was biologically associated with an unsatisfying sex life, and if so, could it be reversible," said Dr. Ahmad Hammoud, the lead author of the study. "Our results show that the answer to both questions may be 'yes.'" For the study, the researchers followed 64 men over two years who participated in the Utah Obesity Study, which investigated the two-year morbidity of severely obese men undergoing gastric bypass surgery. The researchers measured weight, body mass index (BMI) and reproductive hormone levels of participants at the beginning of the study and then two years later. "In our study population, we found that lower testosterone levels and diminished ratings for sexual quality of life were correlated with increased BMI," said Dr. Hammoud. "Subjects who lost weight through bariatric surgery experienced a reduction in estradiol levels, an increase in testosterone levels and an increase in ratings of sexual quality of life." He also points out that results from this study highlight an association between sexual quality of life and hormonal measures independent from weight, so further studies will be required to determine a cause and effect relationship.

Learning to Love Our Laugh Lines - 1 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com Learning to Love Our Laugh Lines We've all heard the expression, "they wear their heart on their sleeve", and we probably know a few people who openly display their emotions. Studies have even evaluated the influence smiling and frowning have on emotional health, with many claiming that smiling may boost mood. Decrease Wrinkles & Decrease Emotions? A recent study explored this concept further, uncovering the possible psychological effects of Botox. The paralyzing of facial muscles via Botox to achieve smoother skin has been known to inhibit facial expressions, but now has been linked to actually limiting emotions, as well. The study claims that the paralysis is correlated to the sensory feedback to the brain that would follow expressions like smiling or frowning (just think of those women with skin so taut, their smiles appear to be shortened, or men who can no longer 'raise an eyebrow' or furrow their brows). The findings help substantiate the theory that while not the only factor, expressions can actually influence mood, as the study participants showed diminished emotional responses. Natural Help for Healthy Skin While results may not be as dramatic or fast-acting, natural remedies can help improve the appearance of the skin. Certain herbs have been shown to help promote and maintain skin health, from retaining moisture and elasticity to alleviating wrinkles. Galium aperine (Cleavers) and Trifolium pratense (Red clover) help promote skin health from the inside-out, acting as blood purifiers and lymphatic cleansers, while homeopathic Natrium muriaticum, Kalium muriaticum and Kalium sulphate can be used to maintain skin health plus support the natural regenerative processes of the skin, for fresher, more youthful-looking skin.

Diet Is the Ultimate Beauty Product - Anti-Aging From the Inside Out - 0 views

We are very happy when we can satisfy sir/madam with our products Please find our products on the wedpage http://sexualhealthpro.com Diet Is the Ultimate Beauty Product - Anti-Aging From the Inside Out Beauty products are a multi-million dollar industry. Although there are numerous products on the market that tout their youth-promoting properties, in reality, anti-aging is done best from the inside out. Of all the lifestyle factors that influence how we age, diet is the most important. Berries: Foods rich in antioxidants work by attacking free radicals that contribute to the aging process. Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries are rich in antioxidants. Other good sources include grapes, plums, cranberries, and figs. Aim for at least one serving a day. Citrus: Vitamin C is essential to synthesize collagen in the body. Collagen is essential to skin health. Collagen breakdown is one of the main culprits in wrinkles. Although this is a normal part of the aging process, consuming foods rich in Vitamin C can help to maintain skin elasticity. Aim for 1-2 servings a day. Orange juice is an amazing source of Vitamin C, providing 124 milligrams in just one cup. Omega fatty acids: Foods that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for glowing, healthy skin. You can find these healthy fats in nuts such as almonds, Brazil nuts, and walnuts. Flax seed is also rich in these essential fatty acids. As an alternative to canola or corn oils for salads, switch to flax seed or olive oil. Veggies: One of the best things you can do to maintain health, vitality, and youth is to eat plenty of fresh vegetables on a daily basis. Aim for at minimum of 3 servings a day. A good way to make sure you are eating the variety of nutrients you need is to choose a variety of colors. What Else You Can Do: Of course there are other factors that influence aging such as lifestyle and genetics. Using sunscreen when going out in the sun can help minimize the s
