It even supports generating SVG graphics via XSL transforms on data files, remote editing over FTP or WebDav, and is available as an Eclipse plugin. Only $48 for Academic use.

Cool Text is a free web-based graphics generator for logos, buttons, and just cool fonts. It's probably the oldest and certainly the only one around with 1200 fonts ;-)
