Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a minimally invasive procedure to replace a diseased aortic valve. It is a newer procedure than traditional open-heart surgery to replace the aortic valve, and it has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Angioplasty is a medical procedure used to treat narrowed or blocked blood vessels, typically arteries leading to the heart. It's performed to restore proper blood flow to thе heart muscle and alleviate symptoms such as chest pain (angina) or prevent heart attacks.

The procedure can be performed through open-heart surgery which incorporates a deep incision in the chest or minimal invasive method which includes a small incision in the chest or the use of a catheter. The former requires a long stay in the hospital and the latter requires a short stay and is a quick process in comparison to the other one.
