This is a really interesting article about how the Governor of California and top diplomats in China are getting together to work on Clean Air initiatives. It is really great to see this unlikely partnership form for the good of the environment. Interesting read.

This is a great story about private citizens keeping federal programs running during the shutdown. I think it is wonderful that these people believe in their community enough to fund such vital programs. It makes me think of the libraries where two different communities join together for the greater good of everyone, especially the children.
