This is a news article about teachers and parents working together in London Schools. It is imperative that we focus not only on what children are learning at school, but the issues they face at home. As the article mentions, schools should be nurturing and ambitious to help improve children's mental health.
This article left me wondering whether London schools, or British schools in general, have the same level of testing that we have in the US. It is very difficult for teachers to not "teach to the test", and there is a significant challenge for teachers to engage students in a holistic learning environment trying to include their school and home life.
