  The University of La Verne in La Verne, California was just given recognition as recipient of the 2014 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Thier program was recognized for unique programs such as "Community Engagement Day" which introduces younger students to volunteerism, a "Summer Service Program" that pairs students with social service organizations and summer camps that introduce high school students to career paths.
