Katie Ho on 02 Feb 11This article is basically about how women and men are regulated and judged by different standards in the workplace. Women and man naturally approach situations differently. The way women approach their bosses for promotions (shyly and not too pushy) or work excessive amounts of hours to feel like they deserve a promotion because they've developed more experience, is part of the reason why women are seen the way they are. Women try to build up from the top and are not as aggressive as men, whereas in society, with men all around us, we NEED TO BE AGGRESSIVE. We can deal with more responsibility, we don't always need to prove ourselves first! Men ask for extra responsibility and promotions right off the bat!
