How Computers Affect Student Performance - 3 views

    According to this article, regular use of computers has an effect on student performance. In this study, they used 986 fourth graders from 55 classrooms in nine Massachusetts school districts. Most of the students only used computers to write their papers. However, they found that students that used their computers for fun and games had a negative effect on students reading scores. As long as students used the computers for writing purposes this had positive effects on their test scores.

    This article list an important fact about how many actuall "full ride scholarships" are given out. Even though it does not state much of the academic side it states a very true and important fact.

    This is interesting because my daughter is college age and so are my nieces, they would find this interesting.

    oh wow! This is really interesting. I tried to get a track scholarship to Sam Houston in 2006. When I realized that would be almost impossible I just decided to be a regular student. I find that when you are in high school it is more common to see college scouts looking more for the boys. I am glad to see, according to this article, that more females are being offered full rides to college. This is awesome!
