Marriage is never perfect nor always imperfect. Perception plays a big role in the happiness of marriage or the unhappiness of marriage. So what makes some marriages last 50 years and less than 6 months? Is the wrong 2 people getting married for the wrong reason? Maybe it's less about people and more about perceptions and expectations. Maybe, just maybe, it has to do with sacrifices or a lack of sacrifice.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterous. Keep your life free from love of money and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you!" -Hebrews 13:4-5

When two people are committed by marriage, complacency may be their undoing if they aren't paying attention. The importance of romance in any marriage cannot be overstated; yet few are fortunate enough to avoid this phenomenon, since it is by human nature that romance waxes and wanes, often decreasing with time.

The key to reviving a relationship is not in how you handle disagreements, but in how you are with each other when you're not fighting. The main determining factor in whether people are satisfied with their marriage is the quality of the couple's friendship, and strengthening this friendship is the foundation of the seven principles.

I watched in disbelief as Pat, the forty-year old wife of Jeff, her forty-five year old husband, froze amidst the hail of verbal challenges by her pontificating husband. He continued his incessant criticism, seemingly unaware that he had lost any connection to his wife he may have previously had. Frozen in fear, she no longer talked back, slumping further in his chair. She simply sat stiffly and listened to his tirade-or at least appeared to be listening. I wondered about when I should interject my critical impressions.

DEMOCRATS HAVE OVER THE YEARS MADE IT ABUNDANTLY CLEAR THAT THEY DO NOT FAVOR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE.
