Week after week, the churches emphasize and celebrate what makes them different from other churches. They celebrate their uniqueness—not the gospel uniqueness that shines light in a dark world, but a worldly uniqueness that would have us base our identity in stylistic distinctions between brothers and sisters.

Maybe we don't need more reviews. Maybe we just need a better grip on theology clearly communicated from our pulpits on a regular basis. If you're a preacher, like me, we'd better take this seriously. Let's not wait until a book comes out before we give our people an understanding of important issues like the doctrine of Scripture and the nature of God...As we stick to the text and allow it to speak to our culture, many of the important issues will be covered.

Just the ramblings of an old Pastor and Servant of God. Some exciting, some boring, some to get you thinking, some to make you laugh and some to make you cry. With a few reflections on life in general, occasional asking of your opinion in different projects and aspect of development of new studies and Ideas, and a few observations, stories and accounts on what I’ve been doing and observing on an hourly, daily, weekly or up to the minute reports.

Have we somehow misunderstood or twisted the truth of what Jesus came to do? Well, this is a huge question that would require survey of Gospel accounts let alone a wide-ranging study of Gospel presentations today. Neither of which did Love Wins provide. So, it is certainly an overstatement.

I’d be shocked if we conducted a survey of people in our churches and not many of them were either pluralistic or universalists. There is the official teaching of the church and then there is what the Christians who sit in the pews believe. Often these are two very different things.
