The Sdyor children attend a charter school. This means school uniforms, high academic standards, and strict school behavior including a color card change disciplinary system. James (Age 9) loves school and wouldn't miss a day. Of course once he gets there he may not be towing the company line...

Your Family Should Have a Show: Color Me Bad - 0 views

  •
My wife Ann has a small obsession. Colors. As a child she memorized the names of the crayons in the big box and became incensed a few years back when they retired some colors and added some new ones. The Sdyor children have taken up their mother's mantle. Of course not without a twist...

Your Family Should Have a Show: No Verve for Vivaldi - 0 views

I grew up in a home that was always filled with musical instruments. I must admit that I never had the aptitude to play them. When Olympia (Age 13) came home wanting to play violin through the school I was thrilled. After two years in which I have never heard her practice, I began to wonder. A musical instrument is not for everyone...

OK, so maybe it's not the plague but the Norovirus is running through the Sdyor house and it is not fun. You may have heard it called the Norwalk virus but my personal favorite is the Snow Mountain virus. Which if you live in New England is ironic because it's now February and it's the only snow we've had this year...

Body image issues are a large component of teenage angst and can cause depression, anxiety or worse yet make you believe Joan Rivers and the women from Mob Wives look better with plastic surgery. Of course I could be giving us too much credit as parents...

Remember your first few Christmas after having a child. You wanted so badly to give them the best gifts you could. You scrimped and saved and looked at sale inserts out of the paper.
