  • SEW examinations also allow employers to place employees at the appropriate SEW exam level by using the SEWCheck - a list of can do statements which are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and each SEW level. This allows, for example, heads of departments to decide which level each employee needs to achieve in order to perform their job effectively. SEWCheck offers a placement tool and a way to measure the English language proficiency goals of the organisation

    Unfortunately, only UK residents can take the examinations, but the SEW Check linked to the CEFR can do statements and the SEW Syllabus provide very helpful resources for syllabus design.
