I don't see connectivism at war with constructivism - I see it on a semantic continuum. Constructivists create their own meaning, connectivists interpret patterns, but the individual must "see it". Constructivist requires a group of people to be social with (a network), Connectivist grows a network. Knowledge transfers through social interactions for constructivists, and knowledge grows through adding interactions for connectivists.
