Adult learners have typically not succeeded in standard educational institutions and yet they have important and diverse life and work experiences - not to mention incredible coping skills.     It is interesting how we talk about having open systems and a creative commons in the time where the Conservative gov't is pro closing off openess and thus transparency. They want to shut down the CBC and provide more police powers to gather information from people online. It appears that the ideas of connectivism and the power base are in theory, correct.
