Toyota Motor Corporation is planning to recall 11,500 Lexus vehicles across the globe for problems related to steering. Mieko Iwasaki, a spokeswoman for the carmaker informed that Toyota plans to recall 7,000 vehicles overseas, including 3,800 in the U.S., and 4,500 units in Japan.

Lately the auto makers started recalling their cars long time after its sales, inviting auto-safety bill which will be placed and debated. The reoccurring defaults in many cars resulted in accidents which were identified in specific models. Post accidents automakers reviewed the cars systems like braking, accelerator etc. and later jumped in damage control mode.

Volkswagen has announced a voluntary safety recall of VW Jetta TDI and Jetta SportWagen TDI models built between May 2008 and September 2011, and Golf TDI models built between May 2009 and September 2011.
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 2011 model year E-Class, GL, ML and R-Class vehicles, as well as 2012 model year S-Class vehicles, all equipped with diesel engines.
Chrysler Group is recalling nearly 700 model-year 2012 Chrysler 200, Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Charger, Dodge Durango, Dodge Grand Caravan, Dodge Journey and Jeep Grand Cherokee models built between August 31 and September 13, 2011.
