U.S. automaker General Motors Co. is expected to add 650 jobs at a truck plant in Flint, Mich., sources told The Detroit News. The plan is to add a third shift to the plant that builds Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, taking advantage of $35 million in plant investments the company has made since 2008.
Driveline upgrades include a Dynatrac ProRock 60 front axle and a set of 4.10:1 gears front and rear, along with Detroit lockers. The front billet diff cover is standard with the front Dynatrac axle, while at the rear a chrome cover was used on the Dana 70. J&H Performance upgraded the stock transmission with a stack of parts from DTT Diesel Performance. The DTT-2006 auto transmission is tough and durable, according to Louie.
