The builder of this beautiful '37 Ford, Sean Ornduff, was on the phone filling in the blanks for us, when he said something that was pretty funny. "You know how some cars just sort of fall together, while others fight you every inch of the way? Well this car is a fighter." He went on to explain how he'd tested the patience of all the new guys at the shop by giving them some work to do on the '37. He was sure that the car would fight every inch of the way, so the new guys would either get through it or quit.

Growing up being around the "family biz" definitely has its pros and cons. But the pros far outweigh the cons when your dad is in the automotive customizing business and owns an auto body shop in a small Northern Cali town, an area made famous by builders such as Bob Grant at Grant Kustoms and Oz Welch.

Building big power with a diesel is not hard, unless you start to get close to the upper end of the envelope. It's at that point where the trick parts and pieces are used, along with some secret tricks of the trade privy only to top-notch engine builders.
