An educational success program provided this list of 10 ways for students to become empowered learners. This list would be great for using with the adult ELLs at my school because it focuses on the strategies that they can use to develop their learning skills and to be more effective learners.

Burlington English is computer-based program that provides ELL instruction and feedback. Students are able to utilize this program in a classroom setting or at home to develop their English skills. This user-friendly program allows students to work at their own pace and receive quality feedback as they learn, practice, and develop their English skills.

This website provides video introductions of new skills and opportunities for students to practice and master those skills. Students can use these lessons before, during, or after classroom instruction. This website allows students to direct their learning and pace as they study Grammar, Math, Social Studies, etc.
