In his youth, Floyd Arthur went to St. Theresa of Avila Middle School. He later received his high school diploma at Brooklyn Technical High School, more commonly known as Brooklyn Tech, in 1976. Brooklyn Tech is a public high school in New York City that specializes in science, engineering, and math. It is the largest public specialized high school in the United States and has had such famous alumni as Lou Verigno, the bodybuilder/ actor, and former NASA astronaut Karol J. Bobko.
