New Tax Framework under the Goods and Services Tax (GST). New Tax rates have been finalised for 1,211 items with a majority of items being kept under the 18 per cent slab. Nil rate (0%): No tax will be imposed on items like fresh meat, fish chicken, eggs, milk, butter milk, curd, natural honey, fresh fruits and vegetables, flour, besan, bread, prasad, salt, bindi.
