    Menopausal weight gain is apparently a great problem for women because they age. It seems that gaining some weight during this period in life seems inevitable. Some girls may even be puzzled why they seem to accumulate weight even though they eat exactly the same amount of food. There are lots of known reasons for this.

    Because their body goes through changes throughout menopause women go through menopausal weight gain. The reason behind the weight gain may stem fro the hormones themselves. Throughout menopause, normal estrogen levels in the torso seem to go down. Estrogen is the female sex hormone that's accountable for a woman's monthly ovulation.

    Low estrogen levels throughout menopause causes the feminine body to stop ovulating. Her human anatomy tries to look for other methods to get its estrogen present, as the ovaries of the woman create less estrogen. One of the means that the human anatomy could be given the estrogen hormone is through the fat cells. So the body tries to change as much of the calories it's supplied with into fat in order to make the much needed estrogen.     Progesterone is another hormone which may be the reason for weight gain during menopause. The same as estrogen, women undergoing menopause also encounter their body's progesterone levels drop. This causes weight gain on women on an alternative way.
