Our trip to Oshkosh this year, a proven necessary part of out aviation connection presence, will be extra special. Lydia will be travelling and will be sharing her story with many as she is in the USA for 2 weeks. Lydia is really progressing and has a desire to change other peoples lives in relation to health and technology so that others do not have to suffer as she has. We will be 'based' out of the Zenith stand, and would love to share with any who attend Oshkosh WHY we use the Zenith aircraft and also how we carry out the bag- and bottle-drops as well as a sneak peak into the planned skid-drop concepts we are currently working on.

How to Play: In this activity, there are two kinds of bugs: green ones and orange ones. These bugs live in leafy green trees. Every now and then, birds swoop in and eat the bugs. They usually eat the bugs they can see from a distance. Near the forest is a factory. The factory spews out lots of orange chemical smoke. When the chemicals fall on the trees, they turn orange.

Using aviation education to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and math in rural Alaska. AvSTEM is currently in two villages in western Alaska. Grant Funk has lived in Hooper Bay for 10 years, and is actively involved with youth and aviation education in the Hooper Bay school. Over the past 3 years, the Hooper Bay AvSTEM program has been building a Thorp T-211 experimental airplane through Build A Plane. They hope to fly the Thorp in the next year. Grant also does distance education aviation courses with the Pilot Station, AK school.
