I am using phpBB3, installed 1 month ago, hosted by BlueHost. I just checked the size of database, it is 80MB (limited 100MB).

Is it really worth upgrading? TBH, I'm just plain scared. I've never done an upgrade, so if it's not worth it, I'd rather stay in my comfie little hole and do with what I have.

I've been asked to backup a phpbb forum and all I have is sftp access (to the root), but in there I don't find the files of the forum, only a .cpan and .ssh folder.

I am creating a new site and would like to download all the pictures that were put on our old forum by registered members of the phpbb forum. I want to put them on the new site as a photo album.

I can't insert anything to the config of my site. Why am I having with this? I used Simple Scripts to install phpbb 3.02 (php.com says to never use any of the the auto installs. Things will break.) and now I come up with this problem.

Is there any forum software available on BH? If no, can somebody recommend a good forum software - preferably in php … at this moment I am choosing between phpBB and nextBBS?
