    The angles of elevation of the top of a tower from the top and bottom of a 60 m high building are 30o and 60o. What is the height of the tower?
  • anonymous

    Cos (60) = x/60
    x = Cos (60) x 60
    x = 30

    Tan (60) = a/60
    Tan (60) x 60 = a
    a = 104

    Tan (30) = y/104
    Tan (30) x 104 = y
    y = 60

    x= 30, y= 60
    30 + 60=90

    answer: 90meters
