Alveoli is are sacs at the end of the bronchioles. Their job is to receive air, pass the oxygen to the red blood cells and send the carbon dioxide back out. if our Alveoli's are damaged then, we cannot breath properly. The air sacs won't be able to filter out the carbon dioxide and oxygen won't be able to move through our body.

Alveoli is an air sacs that are located at the end of the bronchioles. Their job is to receive oxygen and provide it to the blood sells. After our blood circulates in our body and pick up CO2 they arrive at alveoli again. They drop their carbon dioxide in the alveoli and it carries Co2 to our lungs to send it out of our body. If our alveoli gets damaged, gas changed cannot happen properly. As a result, we will have shortness of breathe.

Alveoli hold the air until it can be "traded" for Carbon Dioxide. If damage is done to your alveolus(alveolies?), the size of the lungs will decrease and that means less of what you breathe passes through the membrane into the bloodstreams.

Alveoli is the air sac at the end of the bronchioles. They exchange the oxygen and carbon dioxide inside the blood. They provide oxygen to the blood and send out the carbon dioxide again. If the alveoli are damaged, the process of exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide will not work well and give oxygen to your body.
