That amounts to 44 percent of the world's online population. "Many people don't know how big gaming is," said Oscar Diele, chief marketing officer at Spil Games, a maker of online and mobile games that are mostly targeted at girls. "Gaming is a huge part of people's online activities. It's really mainstream, crossing age and gender boundaries." It mashed the data together in a 17-page report that Netherlands-based Spil Games collected research from a variety of sources, including Newzoo, World Population Clock, comScore, eMarketer, Goo Technologies, PopCap, Cisco, SpotXchange, Brightroll, and Akamai. Spil Games an untapped market reaches itself to lots of girls, counting up to more than 50 million girls through its websites for both online games based on Adobe's Flash format as well as multiplatform mobile titles based on HTML5. Diele said in an interview with GamesBeat that developers should make their offerings like TV shows, with cliffhanger moments that keep the audience engaged. He also said that advertisers should start to spend more on video ads within games. "Not a lot of data is available, and that's why advertisers don't spend as much as they should targeting gamers," Diele said. The majority of Spil Games' revenue comes from ads. The data demonstrates that 46 percent of gamers are women and 54 percent are men. And such top categories for boys and men are racing, sports, and action games while for women the top categories for are puzzle, quiz, word, matching, and mahjong games. And the top categories for girls are cooking, dre

"Unaware that they are being scammed by fraudsters, online gamers are trick to reveal their vital information so that these fakes can collect thousands of pounds from them. Similar to "phishing", this fraud is sent via fake email too. They trick people to reveal banking details to harvest money and information from online gaming accounts. Most young online gamers are naïve and sometimes careless, thus making them unaware of the risks of handing out such details so they come as an easy target. They may be. A number of Xbox Live members appear to have recently been victim of malicious 'phishing' scams. The fraud comes as an online attempt to acquire personal information. Microsoft asks anyone who believes they may have been targeted to contact them. Users have to check carefully that emails from the company are genuine. 'Phishing is widespread - 86% of phishing attacks specifically target the financial sector, but another 13% target information services. Users need to be vigilant.' says Simon Ellson, Internet Security Expert from Norton. Any user should bear in mind not to reveal their passwords to anyone, more especially to unsolicited emails. And as with banking scam emails, users should check the spelling of links within emails, fake emails are usually have grammatical errors and unpleasant appearance. To defend yourself from such frauds and scams it will also help if you update your computer security. Make sure you have up-to-date computer security like the latest Windows updates. The fraud goes like this; criminals will send the players emails that direct them to bogus websites offering free Microsoft points that can be used to buy games. These fakes are clever crooks, they are aware that online play on Xbox 360 requires an account with credit card details attached. So they fool gamers into visiting pages that stole account details and then gradually 'leeched' money from their accounts. If criminals are clever, victims o

Black Hawk Mining Bulletin Articles: Aus Mining Continues Growth - Topix - 0 views

  •
A recent survey conducted in Australia shows that although their mining sector is enjoying a boom, services sector is in an opposite condition. Most of the contraction was caused by a decline in new orders among the various players in the services sector while sales and prices also fell. Just 2 out of 9 sub-sectors (namely, personal and recreational services and finance and insurance) included in the survey has grown during the month. The increased activity in the mining sector is not positively affecting the remaining sectors of the local market. The chief executive of the Australian Industry Group (AI Group) said that the contraction in the services industry just shows how narrow is its base of development in the broad market. Several stability in financial states abroad in a period of few months will be favorable for allowing consumer and business confidence to improve, resulting in a gradual increase in spending. More than half of the world's mining acquisitions in 2011 has involved projects located in US, Australia and Canada. Other buyers include China, India, Russia and Brazil, all of which increased their acquisitions by 42% since 2006. In terms of gold, the average deal is valued at USD 41 million where a premium is almost 50%. Propelling the lucrative market is Australia with 15%, United States with 14% and Canada with 49%. Considering the bigger picture of the industry, PwC seems to be expecting that this year will see record M&A valuations and volumes in the mining sector worldwide. According to the company, sovereign wealth funds tend to have more advantage in winning transactions because of their low cost of capital. PwC is assuming that non-miners like sovereign wealth funds, large pension funds and private equity might reassess their approach to the industry and begin to participate more in M&A.

Black Hawk Mines: DOTA 2: A Review | Livejournal - 1 views

http://reviews.blackhawkmines-online.com/ Dota 2 is something about 2 groups known as the Radiant and Dire are fighting it out for control. It does not really matter because it has no effect on the actual gameplay overall. It is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game and is more similar to Heroes of Newerth than League of Legends. But first and foremost be very mindful of the scam rackets for online gamers. Graphics wise, DOTA 2 is actually nice. Champions were detailed and their appearance can be modified by items that one obtains in game. Complete set of modifier items can be bought from their mall or if you do not want to buy them you can try to win them in Diretide matches. Spell effects are varied and diverse. Don't forget the minions; they are looking very nice as well. Scam rackets are looking very nice as well so gamers should be wary of them. The game's graphics have very high potential but the game client is not optimized. The highest settings do not match up to the newest games yet demand an immense amount of resources in comparison. https://foursquare.com/p/black-hawk-mines-online-games/33896217

Gamer proposes with four-hour role-playing game With this game, I thee wed. - 1 views

http://reviews.blackhawkmines-online.com/2013/05/10/gamer-proposes-with-four-hour-role-playing-game-with-this-game-i-thee-wed/ There have been many various wedding proposals prepared via video game modifications. Here is another whole new level of proposal, actually building a game from scratch for the sole purpose of asking for someone's hand. That's a new level altogether, romantic indeed. Marchaka, a Redditor, has a pretty ideal girlfriend a gamer would want to have in Michele, as the two shares a serious love of video games. That made him think and got then wheels on his head thinking when he decided to pop the question. Marchaka used VX Ace a $70 role-playing game maker and then he built Michele's Quest. Michele's Quest is a Final Fantasy-style title that consists of four acts and four boss battles. After successfully completing each act, the player, Michele, Marchaka's girlfriend, is rewarded with an image showing the location of a real-world key. Sitting next to the computer Michele played on was a chest with four locks. When she arrive at the fourth was unlocked, there was a note reading "turn around," where she saw Marchaka on bended knee with the ring. Not to any surprise, she said "yes." Marchaka has only little programming experience. It took him over 160 hours to build the game, which is filled with in-jokes, humor and loads of video game references. And lest you think Marchaka spent the four hours, it took Michele to complete the game standing over her shoulder. He even managed to plan ahead for that unforeseen event as well. "We had some guests over and so I tried to downplay it by cooking a big dinner for everyone," he said. "I spent most of my time in the kitchen but how the place is designed I can see the computer from there. The guests pulled up chairs next to her and chimed in with commentary and jokes…took any tension out of it until the big moment." Marchaka's proposal has resemblance and can make you think back to Gary Hudston's
