This is a cycle in which the frozen embryo from a previous fresh IVF cycle is thawed and then transferred back into the woman's' uterus. Generally, the chance of having embryos available for freezing mostly depends on age. In a Natural cycle a frozen embryo transfer can be performed either through stimulated or unstimulated cycles. In unstimulated transfer, the embryo is replaced only when implantation seems likely.

In Vitro Fertilization, or frozen embryo transfer, is the joining of a man's sperm and woman's egg in a small dish. During embryo transfer, the entire procedure is performed outside of the body. It is a form of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in which special methods are implemented to help a struggling woman become pregnant.
