The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2012 was the first tournament organized by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The first season started on 9 February with the tournament final played on 29 February in Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Dhaka . The competition featured with six cricket teams and the Bangladesh Premier League cricket tournament format with a double round robin group stage, with two semi-finals and a final.Matches were held in two Bangladeshi popular cricket venues one is Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium and another is Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong .The six franchises represented the six divisional team like Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet and Khulna . In Bangladesh Premier League total of 33 matches were held including the final in this cricket league, 25 matches were played in Dhaka at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium and the remaining 8 matches were held in Chittagong at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
