Smart USA, which markets the tiny smart Fortwo city car, has been facing an uncertain future in the U.S., as sales have tanked since its splashy debut in 2008. Part of the problem is that it has just one model for sale -- but help is on the way. By the end of next year, it will add a five-door small car that will be built by Japanese automaker Nissan. Smart itself is owned by German carmaker Daimler.\n\n
