King's Cross railway station, is a major London railway terminus, opened in 1852. It is on the northern edge of central London, at the junction of Euston Road and York Way, in the London Borough of Camden on the boundary with the London Borough of Islington. Immediately to the west across Pancras Road is St Pancras International, the London terminus of the Midland Main Line, Eurostar and high-speed trains to Kent.

Dartford is perhaps most well known for the main mode of crossing the River Thames to the east of London, where the southbound crosses the river via the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge toll bridge. The Bluewater shopping centre is a pinnacle of luxury as one of the benchmarks of british shopping.

Hemel Hempstead is one of Hertfordshire's "new towns", situated a few miles north west of where the M25 and M1 cross. The new town is also well known for its "Magic Roundabout" which allows traffic to go around the roundabout in both directions! Hemel Hempstead has one of Hertfordshire's largest industrial and business areas. Kodak have their European headquarters in the town centre, while hundreds of companies are based in Maylands Industrial Estate, including the headquarters for Dixons and Freeserve.
