The State Records archive collection holds maps, plans, registers, films and photographs, in addition to thousands of documents dating from the earliest days of European settlement to recent times.
Search records held in the Australian National Archives or instances of records with specific surnames. Some primary documents have been scanned into PDF and are viewable online.

These lists have been transcribed from the original passenger lists, by Robert Janmaat of Adelaide, and extracts regarding a particular ship have been included, from the Sydney Shipping Gazette and the South Australian Register. The South Australian Government Gazette (return showing deaths on board Emigrant ships 1849 to 5th June 1865) has also been consulted.
