Cruxbot is an interesting new web tool that helps to summarize web pages. With a simple bookmarklet tool, this tool reads through any site - presumably with a large amount of text - and it summarizes the content. The summary can be lengthened or shortened by the user and users can even identify keywords to focus the learning on a particular issue. Very cool idea which works fairly well.

9. Skimzee - Summarize The Web Skimzee is a Chrome extension we should have covered earlier because it could have given your online reading a boost. It tackles information overload by combining web page summarization with social media search and web feed aggregation. You can control the level of summarization in Skimzee with a slider on the app's interface. The extra information from other sources can help to give the material you are reading more context.

3. Google Tone/Chirp - URLs can be distributed by sound! Google Tone is an extension to the Google Chrome web browser. It broadcasts URLs by emitting a sound that other Chrome web browsers can understand. They translate that tone to a URL and direct users to that site. This is great for sending a whole class of students to one site quickly. If you're using iPads, the Chirp app does the same thing.
