Using Google Docs, create a template that will serve as your daily agenda to be shared with students. Use tables, colors, and images to help organize your subjects or class periods. Place your Google Doc agenda in the "About" section of Google Classroom to be viewed by your students. When students open the Doc, they need to click the Drive icon and Save iit to their own Drive. Every day or week you'll update your shared agenda Doc for your students which will be viewable to them through Google Classroom or Drive. In Google Keep (keep.google.com) a new note needs to be made for each student. This note will be shared between you and your student so it doesn't matter if you create it or the student creates their own.

Science Writer steps students through the process of writing a report with introduction, methods, results, and conclusion sections. Students draft, revise, and edit their report, using just-in-time support from pedagogical agents who offer models and information about how to write each section. They may also access content and editing checklists to help them evaluate their writing and make revisions. And finally, students can use the embedded text-to-speech tool to listen to their writing to see if it "sounds right" and to listen to any of the directions and instructional material, as well as accessing vocabulary definitions. Students enter the name of a story and the name of their favorite character on the first page. On the next pages students list ten attributes of the character. ssay Map is one of my favourite web tools that I have been repeatedly recommending for teachers. Essay Map, as its name indicates, is a tool that helps students with their essay writings. It is an interactive graphic organizer that provides students with a step by step guidance through the process of developing a robust outline to their essays. Having a clear and well-built outline is definitely a pre-requisite for good expository writing. It gives students' writings focus and coherence needed for developing cogent arguments. Essay Map is ideal for that.

The videos are very informative about purpose of visual notetaking.  I really enjoyed watching Rachel Smith's video.  This might be an interesting way to teach students who are visual but have problems with handwriting. think about students who can doodle but can't write. 

Teacher Assistant Pro is a mobile device app to aid classroom teachers in documenting, sharing, and tracking student classroom behavior with parents, guidance councilors, administrators, etc. The classroom teacher can customize the app so it reflects the terminology and procedures unique to the district, school, and/or classroom. Although there is no single best way to teach terms and phrases, Dr. Marzano's research and theory on vocabulary development does point to a few generalizations that provide strong guidance. This site is dedicated to the sixth step in that process by providing a collection of games and activities designed to review and strengthen vocabulary development. .
