Mount Elbrus is the highest in Russia and all of Europe. According to number of deaths recorded, Elbrus is one of the worlds most lethal mountains with annual average death of 15-30 climbers. Due to its location extreme cold weather conditions and sudden storms are common in this region causing many frostbites and hypothermia injuries and deaths.
