We're writing a song for our performance project, and I've used this extensively. I've found it to be quite helpful. At first, I thought it would be dumb to post it, but after some thought I disagreed with my original notion. This tool is an example of how technology is helping songwriters network, through the use of a thesaurus and rhyming. It made the song writing process much more efficient and smoother.

Here is a resource provided by BMI that allows you to search their database of songs so that you can find if they hold the copyright to a particular song, it also allows you to find out who the songwriter is and who is the publisher.

This website is basically a game that can help get drill ideas out of your head. There is also a forum that offers a community that enjoys talking about anything marching band. There are also music writing forums for feedback on pieces you compose or arrange and general talk forums

We will demonstrate this program on Friday and have an assignment for you to complete by Monday.
