10 Years of Teaching: How Do I Keep My School Administration Happy? - 1 views

  •
Great acts to encourage the health of the school community. These could easily apply to other instructors in addition to the administration. The joke is that the secretaries run the school. Get to know the people you work with because they could be the ones that provide help for you in the future.

We're writing a song for our performance project, and I've used this extensively. I've found it to be quite helpful. At first, I thought it would be dumb to post it, but after some thought I disagreed with my original notion. This tool is an example of how technology is helping songwriters network, through the use of a thesaurus and rhyming. It made the song writing process much more efficient and smoother.

Piano Tutorial Stay by Rihanna - 0 views

  •
This tutorial is decent. Is helpful but there is a lot of talking involved which might overwhelm a novice piano player. He also has a lot of "ads" trying to get people to like the post or try to subscribe, which I think is a little annoying

Violin Bow Hold Tutorial - 0 views

  •
His explanation of bow hold is clear and he uses analogies that are very appropriate for young violinists to help them understand the shape of the hand. I also like that he teaches bow hold on a pencil and emphasizes that the hand should feel relaxed and natural.

I think that making lesson plans will be one of the most challenging things in the first few years of teaching, I find that websites like this are very helpful in ways to organize them and what kinds of information should be in them.

Ear Training exercise - 0 views

  •
Here is a website where I had to do all of my aural perception at my old institution. There are chapters of exercises for rhythm, melodic dictoatoon, and chord progression. If the tempo is too fast you can take the exercises and put them in finale and use the tempo that is best for you. Hope this helps you all
