    Are there direct pictures of exo-planets?

    It has exoplanets in a few cases with observations already able to prove directly, but if you can actually call the "photos" of exoplanets these recordings, I doubt it.
    It is involved is not much more than faint points of light that could make it visible in the often very noisy environment of a star. A real photo, that would be comparable to the view through a backyard telescope on the planets of our solar system, there is not. The great difficulty is indeed that a planet in comparison to its central star is extremely faint and from this - especially if it is on a relatively close orbit - is very easily outshone.
